You are wondering whether the soft-tampons PONTAMS® are meant for your or do you simply want to learn more about it? Well, be prepared to have all your curiosity filled and all your concerns washed away!

How long can you use PONTAMS®?
You can wear them for a maximum of 8 hours. Then you wash them first in cold water (so that the blood doesn't clot) and followed by warm and can reuse them for up to 3 days. After sex or swimming, you should change them immediately to avoid infections. Don't forget to remove the last inserted soft tampon before inserting a new soft tampon at the end of your period.

How do you remove them?
You can usually easily pull them out using the short retrieval thread or your fingers. If it slipped a little deeper into your vagina, for example after sex, you can squat with your legs apart and relax to make it easier to remove it. It can't disappear into your vagina, so you can get it out no matter what. If you really can't figure it out, please go to your gynecologist.

How do you dispose of them?
You can dispose of them washed out in the compost. Please observe local regulations. Alternatively, you can dispose of it in household waste, but not in the toilet.

Do PONTAMS® have a contraceptive effect?
No, they do not have any contraceptive effect and do not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

How absorbent are Soft tampons?
Compared with conventional tampons, they have a medium absorbency (equivalent to 3 drops on the packaging).

What's the best way to store them?
Keep them in a cool and dry place and out of the reach of children.
