When we are your first choice

For stomach cramps

Many women report that traditional tampons make their stomach pain worse during their period. Tampons often feel hard and uncomfortable and the vagina can also become cramped. Things are completely different with the PONTAMS®: They are ultra soft and adapt perfectly to your vagina.

For vaginal dryness

Conventional tampons not only absorb blood, but also natural moisture and thus dry out your vagina. PONTAMS®, on the other hand, are inserted wet and thus support the natural moisture balance of your vagina.

On weaker days

Removing a tampon that is still half dry is not a great feeling at all. If your period gets lighter towards the end, the naturally moist PONTAMS® are the best choice to avoid drying out your vagina.

During sports and swimming

Conventional tampons sometimes interfere with sports or bathing. The movement causes your tampon to become noticeable from time to time and the retrieval thread is often too long. PONTAMS® are so soft you almost forget you're even wearing them, and the cotton loop is extra short.

During sex

Sex during your period is now possible with a tampon. The PONTAMS® are so soft that your partner won't feel anything and you don't have to worry about blood stains on the fresh bed linen.

In pain patients

Pain sufferers (including endometriosis) often cannot use normal tampons due to the severe pain. The soft PONTAMS® provide a remedy here and offer greater comfort.

FAQ

How long can you use us?

You can wear us for a maximum of 8 hours. Then you wash us first in cold water (so that the blood doesn't clot) and then warm and you can reuse us for up to 3 days. After sex or bathing, you should change us immediately to avoid infections. Don't forget to remove the last inserted soft tampon before inserting a new soft tampon and at the end of your period.

How do you remove us?

You can usually easily pull us out using the short retrieval thread or your fingers. If we have slipped a little deeper into the vagina, for example after sex, you can squat with your legs apart and relax to make it easier to remove us. We can't disappear into your vagina, so you can get us out no matter what. If you really can't figure it out, please go to your gynecologist.

How do you dispose of us?

You can dispose of us washed out in the compost. Please observe local regulations. Alternatively, you can dispose of it in household waste, but not in the toilet.

Do we have a contraceptive effect?

No, we have no contraceptive effect and do not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.

What's the best way to store us?

Keep us in a cool and dry place and out of the reach of children.

What is TSS?

Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a very rare but dangerous and even life-threatening condition that can occur when using tampons. Symptoms may begin suddenly and resemble those of the flu: fever of 39°C or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting and/or a sunburn-like rash. If you notice any of the above symptoms, remove your tampon immediately and seek medical attention. Be sure to let them know that you have your period and have used a tampon. TSS can be life-threatening and must therefore be recognized and treated early.
