When we are your first choice

For abdominal cramps

Many women report that traditional tampons make their abdominal pain worse during their period. Tampons often feel hard and uncomfortable, and the vagina can additionally cramp. It's completely different with PONTAMS®: They are ultra soft and adapt perfectly to your vagina.

For vaginal dryness

Conventional tampons not only absorb blood, but also the natural moisture and thus dry out your vagina. PONTAMS®, on the other hand, are inserted already wet and thus support the natural moisture balance of your vagina.

On weaker days

Removing a half-dry tampon is not a great feeling. If your period gets lighter towards the end, the naturally moist PONTAMS® are the best choice to avoid drying out your vagina.

With sports & bathing

Conventional tampons sometimes interfere with sports or bathing. The movement sometimes makes your tampon noticeable and the withdrawal thread is often too long. PONTAMS® are so soft you'll forget you're even wearing them, and the cotton loop is extra short.

During sex

Sex during your period is now also possible with a tampon. PONTAMS® are so soft that your partner won't feel them and you don't have to worry about blood stains on the fresh bed linen.

For pain patients

Pain patients (including endometriosis) often cannot use normal tampons because of the severe pain. Our soft PONTAMS® remedy this and offer greater comfort.

FAQ

How long can you use us?

You can wear us for a maximum of 8 hours. After sex or bathing, you should change us immediately to avoid infections. Remember to remove the last soft tampon before inserting a new one and at the end of your period.

How do you remove us?

Most of the time, you can easily pull us out using the short return ribbon or your fingers. If we have moved a little deeper into your vagina, for example after sex, you can squat down and relax to make it easier to remove us. We can't disappear into your vagina, so you can always get us out again. If you really can't remove us, please see your gynaecologist.

How can you dispose of us?

You can recycle us by washing us out and putting us in the compost. Please follow local regulations. Alternatively, you can throw us into a waste bin, but not down the toilet.

Do we have a contraceptive effect?

No, we are not a contraceptive and do not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.

How do you best store us?

Keep us in a cool, dry place and out of the reach of children.

What is TSS?

Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a very rare, but dangerous to life-threatening disease that can occur when using tampons. Symptoms can start suddenly and resemble those of the flu: fever of 39°C or higher, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, fainting and/or sunburn-like skin rash. If you experience any of the above symptoms, remove your tampon immediately and see a doctor. Be sure to tell her or him that you are having your period and have used a tampon. TSS can be life-threatening and needs to be diagnosed and treated early.
